Five youths have been arrested after bricks and a firework were allegedly thrown at a disabled man's home in a racist attack.

Able Miller's car and home were targeted in the incident outside in Berryburn Place, Springburn, at 12.45am on Sunday.

Police said they were treating the incident as an alleged hate crime and arrested five people, aged between 15 and 17, on Tuesday.

The 62-year-old father-of-three arrived in the UK from Zimbabwe in 2002 as a refugee.

He was later taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment for injuries after the incident on Sunday.

A statement from Police Scotland said: "With reference to our previous release regarding an alleged hate crime incident in Berryburn Place in Springburn on Sunday 6 November 2016, please note:

"Four males aged 15, 15, 16 and 17 years and one female aged 17 years have been arrested in connection with the incident.

"A full report will be forwarded to the procurator fiscal."
