A British man believed to be a teacher has been found dead in Burma.

The 47-year-old had been drinking with another man in the city of Rangoon on Friday before his death, his wife said.

He was found dead in a flat with head and chest injuries.

The man is thought to have been working at an international school in the country.

A spokeswoman for the Foreign Office told ITV News: "We are providing help and support to the family of a British national following a death in Rangoon, Burma, and are in touch with the local authorities."
