Police are hunting a gang of teenagers following an assault on a 14-year-old boy in Arbroath.

The incident took place on Commerce Street in the Angus town at around 4pm on Thursday.

The boy was walking with his friend and his brother when they were approached by the group of four males.

One of the suspects spoke to the victim then proceeded to assault him.

The boy did not require hospital treatment.

One of the suspects is described as around 18, of thin build with curly red hair. He was wearing a blue hooded top with a white circle on the front with a number inside and jeans.

Another suspect is described as 18, of thin build with short brown hair and wearing a grey jumper.
