Car down embankment after six-vehicle crash on M9 at Kelpies
There were major tailbacks after six vehicles were involved in smash at rush hour.
A car has landed down an embankment after a six-vehicle smash at rush hour on the M9.
The crash happened at around 5.15pm on the eastbound M9 between junction 6 and 7, near the Kelpies sculptures, causing tailbacks.
One vehicle landed around 6ft down an embankment, two cars ended up on the central reservation and a further four vehicles moved onto the hard shoulder after the incident on Wednesday evening.
Fire crews and paramedics were called to the scene.
No one was seriously injured, with the occupants of the vehicles described as walking wounded.
Police Scotland said all lanes had been reopened and traffic was moving slowly.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: Several people were checked over by paramedics but thankfully no one had to go to hospital."
