One man and two children have been found dead at a house in Hinckley.

Police were called to an address in Welwyn Road around 9.30pm yesterday (November 1) after reports of a disturbance.

They were joined by specialist officers and it's thought negotiations went on for several hours.

Detective Chief Superintendent David Sandall said: "Police gained access to the house in the early hours after a woman left the property with injuries. She is now in a stable condition in hospital."

He appealed for witnesses with information to get in touch. Especially from anyone who had any information about what occurred at the address within this family.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission has been informed.
