Four people are to stand trial accused of breaking into a woman's house and abducting her.

Roseann Browne, Stacey Duff, Kyran Henderson and Lee Robertson are alleged to have forced their way into the address in Dundee on July 29.

They are said to have repeatedly kicked and struck the door and shouted and swore before forcing entry, assaulting and abducting the woman.

The four are alleged to have grabbed her and shoved her against a wall before seizing her mobile phone and attempting to destroy it.

Prosecutors say they searched her house before repeatedly striking the alleged victim and punching her then "forcibly removed her from the house".

They allegedly forced her into a car and "detained her against her will" and prevented her seeking help.

Browne, 41, of Edinburgh, Duff, 30, of Kirkcaldy, 25-year-old Henderson, of HMP Perth, and Robertson, 40, of Cardenden, all deny the charge on indictment of assault and abduction.

On Tuesday, Sheriff Alastair Carmichael set a trial date for later this month at Dundee Sheriff Court.
