A man pulled a knife on a teenage girl who was dressed as a "zombie Tinker Bell" for Halloween.

The 15-year-old was targeted by the man between 5pm and 6pm on Monday in Brightons near Falkirk.

Police said the man presented the five-inch blade to the girl on Main Street next to Laurie Park.

Officers are looking to trace the driver and occupants of a red that passed the area at the time of the incident.

As the car approached, the suspect withdrew the weapon and walked off in the direction of Station Road.

A police spokesman said: "We are keen to speak to the occupants of this red car which is only described as a five door car, there was one male in the passenger seat between 20-30 years old.

"The occupants of this vehicle are sought as potential witnesses."

The force said the victim was dressed in a "a Tinker Bell outfit with zombie face-paint."

The suspect is described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, around 5ft 8in, of slim build. He had short ginger hair and was wearing a yellow top with a black waist length jacket and red skip cap.
