A lit firework was launched into an Indian takeaway in a "reckless" act.

The Kohenoor shop in Dundee was targeted in the incident involving the pyrotechnic on Thursday evening.

Police Scotland said the firework was thrown into the takeaway on Beauly Avenue at around 6.30pm.

The force is looking to speak to a man connected to the attack. He was wearing a black and white Adidas top.

A spokeswoman added: "Fortunately no one was hurt but this was an act of recklessness that could have ended in tragedy."
