Police are hunting thieves after a safe containing £8000 was stolen from a Dundee garage.

The cash was taken during the raid at MAC Motorsports Auto Centre on Isla Street, Dundee.

The incident happened between 11pm on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday.

The garage manager, Marcin Mucha, said he first became aware of the incident when a mechanic came into work in the morning and the back door had been broken into.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who may know who is responsible. They should contact the Tayside Division on 101.
