Pedestrian killed when struck by lorry on A90 is named

A pedestrian who died after being struck by a lorry on the A90 has been named by police.
Charles Kelly, 55, of Montrose, was hit by an articulated lorry on the dual carriageway at Petterden, Angus, around seven miles north of Dundee, at around 3pm on Wednesday.
Mr Kelly died at the scene and a police investigation is under way to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
Police have appealed for witnesses and asked that anyone with information come forward.
A statement from the force said: "Police Scotland Tayside Division can confirm that a pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries as a result of a road traffic collision on A90 near to Petterden on Wednesday has now been named.
"He has been named as 55-year-old Charles Kelly of Montrose.
"Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and Tayside Division would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Division on 101.
"As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal."
