A collision between a car and a lorry in Dundee caused major disruption on Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at 8.15am at the Kingsway/Old Glamis Road junction as commuters made their way to work.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene, where a red Seat had spun round to face the opposite direction and was sandwiched between the lorry, believed to be from the Czech Republic, and a metal barrier.

Traffic was backed up as a result of the incident. There were no injuries.

A police spokesman said: "Police Scotland attended a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry on the Kingsway near Old Glamis Road, Dundee, which happened at 8.15am this morning.

"One lane was blocked whilst the vehicles were recovered. There were no injuries."
