Man with history of violence absconds from open prison
David Arthur, who has convictions for violent crime, is missing from HMP Castle Huntly.
A violent prisoner has absconded from an open prison after a period of temporary leave.
David Arthur, 31, was last seen in Perth's Shore Road at around 12:30pm on Monday.
He has been convicted of violent offences, and police say members of the public should not approach him.
Mr Arthur is serving his sentence at HMP Castle Huntly, a low security prison near Dundee.
Police say he has connections in the Paisley area, and they are conducting enquiries around Greater Glasgow.
He is around 5ft 10 inches tall with blue eyes, slim build with short black hair. He was last known to be wearing a grey jumper and dark tracksuit bottoms.
