Toddler dead and siblings hurt after being hit by cars in crash

A two-year-old girl has been killed and two of her siblings injured after a car crash in a Perthshire town.
The toddler, her five-year-old brother and 17-year-old sister were walking on the Forfar Road in Coupar Angus when two cars collided and struck them around 3.20pm on Thursday.
Her siblings were also injured in the crash. It is understood they are being treated at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
Police said the child's identity would not be released until formal identification had taken place.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information that could assist officers with their enquiries is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
A spokesman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a two-year-old female pedestrian has died and a five-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl have been injured in a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A94 Forfar Road at its junction with Larghan Park, Coupar Angus.
"The incident occurred at about 3.20pm this afternoon."
The road was closed following the crash for a police investigation to take place.
