CCTV images released in bid to find missing Anstruther man
Police appealing for help to trace Iain Marr, who left the Fife town on Wednesday.
CCTV images have been released in a bid to trace a man who has been missing since Wednesday.
The images show 40-year-old Iain Marr at a BP petrol station on Main Street in Colinsburgh at around 11am on Wednesday, shortly after he left an address in Peter Howling Place in Anstruther.
Police say they have "significant concern" for Mr Marr's welfare and are now appealing to the public for help to trace him.
Mr Marr is travelling in a distinct silver coloured Subaru Impreza car with the registration SG60 JVE.
He is described as around 6ft tall, with a heavy build, short cropped brown hair, brown eyes and a soft west coast accent.
His vehicle was last seen travelling on the westbound carriageway on the M80 in North Lanarkshire at around 12:15pm on Wednesday.
Police said Mr Marr has a number of links across the UK and it is unclear at this time where he is heading.
Inspector Nicola Black said: "As part of our ongoing search effort to find Ian we have successfully secured CCTV images that were taken not long after he left Anstruther.
"He has then travelled to North Lanarkshire, however we don't know where he has gone after this point.
"We've significant concern for Ian's welfare and are extremely keen to hear from anyone who has seen him, particularly other motorists who may have spoken to him in the petrol station. Even a small piece of information may hold a vital clue as to his whereabouts.
"We know that he has a number of links across the country including in the Braemar area and parts of England, and he may be travelling to one of these locations."
Anyone with information on Mr Marr's whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
