Welcome to Scotland from the Roadside, a weekly gallery showcasing some of the best images from around the country taken by you.
From opportune moments shot on smartphones to breathtaking landscapes captured in high definition, each week we share a selection of interesting pictures taken by people on their travels around Scotland.
We've partnered up with the Scotland from the Roadside Facebook group, a popular destination for trading photos and stories, which has drawn in more than 86,000 members and 500,000 images to date.
Each Friday, we ask the page's creators, Bruce Philip and Linda Curran, to select their favourite photographs from the week gone by.
This week intrepid photographers have captured flower-covered cottages, golden lighthouses and a moonlit rig in the Forth, showcasing the very best of Scotland.
The View from St Anthony's Chapel by Christine Montgomery
"I visit Edinburgh a few times a year, and decided to do something different from the usual, shopping or Royal Mile and Castle."
"I spent my last four or five visits admiring the views from the Salisbury Crags, Calton Hill and here, at St Anthony's Chapel."
Lossie by Alyson MacConnachie
"I took the kids out to Lossie to see the lighthouse lit in gold in honour of Heather Stanning returning from the Olympics. They had spoken about her in school!"
Beautiful cottages at Luss by Owen Mcmahon
"This was the last of my ten day trip to Kyle of Lochalsh and rather than travelling all the way back to Lancashire on the train, my friend Janette drove me down to Glasgow so that I could see the wondrous Glencoe for the very first time .
"Once we reached Loch Lomond the weather improved a little so she decided on a wee detour to visit Luss. What an amazingly beautiful place it is.
"All my camera stuff was packed away in my case as given the wet weather I didn't think I'd be needing it but once i saw how stunning it was I just ran around frantically for half an hour with my Samsung Galaxy and captured some gorgeous images - a truly wonderful place that I will definitely be visiting again."
Floating to heaven at Loch Rusky by Charles Mcguigan
"This spot is a lovely wee hidden gem just outside Stirling called Ruskie which I love to visit.
"It's a great place to sit and watch the sun rising as the boats can appear the are floating in the clouds."
Photobombing Salmon by Alison Woods
"We are on holiday in the area from Yorkshire staying at Kinaldy Cottage but are originally from Perthshire and used to picnic near the church at Old Struan.
"I am an amateur photographer and my husband suggested visiting the Errochty Burn to take some pictures.
"I was trying out different aperture speeds to capture a small falls when the salmon photo bombed the shot, it wasn't an intentional capture, more of a happy fluke!"
A Reflective Moment at Oban Harbour by Martin Mclaughlin
"I stopped in Oban for an overnight stay before the Easedale Stone Skimming World Championships and went for a walk around the Oban harbour.
"McCaigs tower stood out in blue with a reflection in a small puddle and I had to catch it!"
An Old Tup at Sweetheart Abbey by Louise Mairs
"My husband and I regularly visit New Abbey. The day I took this, the weather was 'smirry' and very humid. It was late afternoon and the light was amazing through the mist.
"This view is looking down on Sweetheart Abbey from the top of a hill. I loved the contrast of the lone tup, looking at me looking at him, against the eerie and mystical backdrop of the Abbey."
Edinburgh's Gothic Rocket by Douglas Mackay
"Edinburgh's Gothic Rocket lit up in all its glory, tonight and forever more."
Full moon over the River Forth by Ian McCracken
"This wasn't the photo that I had set out to take when I left the house. I had gone to the shore at Buckhaven in Fife with the aim of taking some sunset shots but that didn't work out as the sunset wasn't up to much.
"Since I knew that the moon would be rising soon, I decided to hang about and see what else I could photograph. I took several shots of the moon as it appeared above the horizon and a few wider shots of the River Forth and the darkening sky.
"There are three drilling rigs parked up in the Forth so I waited for about an hour until the moon was directly above the first rig and that's when I got the shot that I posted here. Apart from this photo, I also ended up with about another dozen 'keepers' that more than made up for the lack of a decent sunset."
