Police have issued a warning after footage emerged showing a man jumping between two houses.

The unidentified man, who is believed to be a parcour participant or freerunner, is seen jumping between the houses on a building site in West Park, Darlington.

It is not known when the video was recorded.

His jump is watched by a crowd of onlookers who laugh as the male clatters onto the roof of a neighboring property.

Darlington Police shared the video on their Facebook page and said the "alarming footage... might have ended in tragedy".

"This alarming footage was captured at the new estate being built at West Park in Darlington.

"We're sure you can see how easily this might have ended in tragedy. Young people so often think they're invincible and don't think through the potential consequences of their actions", they added.
