Abandoned German shepherd found tied to fence in Perthshire
Kai is now in the care of the Scottish SPCA after being left near woods near Madderty.
A German shepherd was tied to a fence and abandoned in Perthshire.
Animal rescuers were called when a passer-by spotted the two-year-old canine on Saturday, September 17.
The dog was tied to a fence near Westmuir Wood, which is close to Clathymore and Madderty.
His microchip revealed his name is Kai but was only registered to a previous owner.
Scottish SPCA inspector Clare Anderson said: "This beautiful boy was tied to a fence and abandoned. We have no idea how long he was left there.
"He's a friendly boy and we aren't sure why someone would want to abandon him like this.
"We will look after him until we find him the loving home that he deserves."
Kai is now in the care of the Scottish SPCA's animal rescue and rehoming centre in Petterden.
Abandoning an animal is an offence and anyone found guilty of doing so can be banned from keeping animals.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Scottish SPCA's animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
