At least 13 dead after tourist boat capsizes in Thailand
Officials said the fatalities included a boy, four men and seven women.
At least 13 people have died after a tourist boat carrying 150 collided with a bridge in central Thailand.
The tragedy occurred on the Chao Phraya river in Ayutthaya city, about 50 miles north of capital city Bangkok.
Rewat Prasong, deputy governor of Ayutthaya province, said the fatalities included a child.
At least 37 were injured and at least 10 more remain missing.
Footage from the scene shows rescue workers helping passengers from the boat.
Others were seen attempting to resuscitate several people who are unconscious.
Officials said most of the passengers were Thai Muslims.
Thailand has a poor safety record when it comes to internal transport.
The British Foreign Office have warned sinkings and collisions have occurred in recent years because of overloading or poor maintenance.
Tourism is highly important for Thailand's economy. Nearly 30 million foreign tourists visited in 2015.
