Police are concerned for the welfare of a man reported missing in the Highlands two days ago.

Paul MacDonald, 51, was last seen in Ullapool on Wednesday morning and may have travelled to Inverness.

Officers have asked anyone with information about his disappearance to contact them.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Paul MacDonald has been reported missing from the Ullapool area following concerns for his wellbeing.

"Mr MacDonald is described as 5ft 10in tall, with a heavy build and dark, thinning hair. It is not known what he was wearing when last seen.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who has information on Mr MacDonald's whereabouts - please contact police via 101 with any information."
