A 30-year-old woman has been charged with stabbing a mother-of-three to death in a Dundee street.

Siobhan Russell is accused of murdering Marie Low in Douglas on Sunday afternoon.

Ms Low, 36, was found injured on Ballantrae Terrace at around 3pm and was taken to hospital where she later died from her injuries.

On Tuesday, Russell appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court charged with murder.

She is alleged to have struck Ms Low in the body with a knife.

Russell made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

She is due to appear again at a further hearing next week.
