Carer 'threatened to drop kettle on resident's head'
Barry Wilton is accused of being verbally abusive to several residents at a Dundee care home.
A care home worker has been accused of threatening to drop a kettle on a resident's head.
Barry Wilton was allegedly verbally abusive to residents, including saying to one woman "wish there was a bomb under that chair".
The Scottish Social Services Council is to consider a number of charges against the care assistant, who worked at a home in Dundee.
It is alleged he also told the same woman to "hurry up and die" and said "I'll drop this on your head", referring to a kettle.
He is also accused of telling her to "shut up" and refusing to take her to the toilet, saying she could do it herself.
In relation to two other women in his care, Mr Wilton is alleged to have been verbally abusive, calling one derogatory names and telling a colleague he hated another.
The SSSC will consider the charges that Mr Wilton behaved in a verbally abusive and disrespectful manner towards service users in the course of his employment with Balhousie Care Group in November and December 2014.
A two-day hearing will take place next week.
