Children's play area damaged by 'mindless' vandals
The facility in Raploch, Stirling, has been targeted twice in recent weeks.
A children's play park has been torched and damaged by "mindless" vandals in Stirling.
The facility at the rear of the Ochil Centre Community Hall in Raploch has been targeted twice in recent weeks.
Police said in the first instance of vandalism at the Ochil Crescent site, soft lay matting was ripped up and set alight, while a backboard for the basketball court was torn off its frame between August 15 and 19.
During a second incident between August 26 and 29, more damage occurred to the matting in the play area, while an industrial wheelie bin was tipped over the site.
Police Scotland said the damage is "considerable" and repairs are estimated to cost £500.
A spokesman for the force said: "The play park is a community facility for children which should be enjoyed to its full potential. This type of mindless vandalism is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
Anyone with information relating to the vandalism, is asked to call the police on 101.
