Striking photos of Scotland this week taken on mobile phones
From stags to sunsets here are some of the best images taken from the roadside across the country.
Welcome to Scotland from the Roadside, a weekly gallery showcasing some of the best images from around the country taken by you.
From opportune moments shot on smartphones to breathtaking landscapes captured in high definition, each week we share a selection of interesting pictures taken by people on their travels around Scotland.
We've partnered up with the Scotland from the Roadside Facebook group, a popular destination for trading photos and stories, which has drawn in more than 86,000 members and 500,000 images to date.
Each Friday, we ask the page's creators, Bruce Philip and Linda Curran, to select their favourite photographs from the week gone by.
This week, all images had to be taken on just a mobile phone - which makes this selection of striking shots all the more incredible.
Caledonian Canal by Cate Allan
"I was on holiday in Fort William, I visit Scotland frequently and plan to move to the Highlands at some point in the near future," says Cate.
"I'd wanted to see the series of locks for a while but never seemed to get around to it. This holiday I finally did and was amazed by the size of the boat almost filling the lock.
"The simple harnessing of nature in this ingenious engineering is fascinating."
Walkies up the Crags by Pauline Deas
"I'm a local girl and a keen walker," says Pauline. "Callander and the Trossachs is a walker's paradise, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with its many woodland walks, forest trails, hills, lochs and rivers.
"Myself and my good friend Yvonne meet up for walks regularly and often walk Roary, who belongs to Yvonne's mum.
"The Crags is a favourite walk of ours come rain or come shine. On this particular morning I took this photo with my mobile to capture a playful Roary among the heather with the Jubilee Cairn in the background.
"It is well worth the climb up through the woods behind the town to the rocky Crags, the walk takes you high above Callander where from the top you can enjoy spectacular views. Visit Callander, it is a popular place to start exploring The Trossachs!"
Etive Mòr by Sharon Richardson Wright
"I visit Glencoe now and again which is about a four hour round trip for me and I usually just head off on my own to take photos which I really enjoy doing," says Sharon.
"Glencoe is such a naturally beautiful area it's hard to take a bad photo, it also helped that the weather was on my side that day and I was lucky enough to capture the beautiful clouds and reflections."
Kingfisher by Maggie Barclay
"I have seen many photos of kingfishers on Facebook, but I had never seen one in real life," says Maggie.
"When I walked into the hide, I met Scotland from the Roadside's own Allan Brown who recognised the joy in my face at seeing her.
"I took a few shots of her sitting quite far away but then all of a sudden she flew over and landed on the depth measuring post right in front of us.
"She was just beautiful and seemed to be posing for us. I just snapped her and went home a very happy lady."
Reflections at Glencoe by Sara Mead
"I am from New Zealand and have been living here for the last couple of years," says Sara.
"The Glencoe Lochan has become a favourite place to go as I live nearby. Like so much of Scotland it doesn't matter what the weather, or what time of year it's an amazing place to walk and take photos.
"On this day the water had perfect reflections and the sun was hitting the wee island highlighting it beautifully. All I had with me at the time was my phone, but thanks to the excellent natural light, the photo came out really well."
By yon bonny banks by Pauline Monteith
"We frequently visit Loch Lomond as it's one of our favourite places and never tire of the views," says Pauline.
"On the day I took this photo, I sat up from 4.30am waiting for the sun to rise and took the picture just at the right time. Definitely worth getting up early to take in the views!"
Shetland sunrise by Michelle Meheut
"This was taken while I was on nightshift in Shetland, working on a huge oil boat," says Michelle.
"It was 3am and there was another boat coming in. This boat is the pilot boat - the knab - that goes out to meet the boats and puts the captain on board to guide the huge oil boats in safely.
"I thought the light caught the boat and the water just perfect - a beautiful Shetland sunrise."
Sky on fire by Cheree Scott
"It was taken from the beach at Ardersier where I was born and brought up looking across to Fort George where my late mother was born so it is very close to my heart," says Cheree.
"I have also previously worked at Fort George. The photo was taken on my phone camera."

"We were just camping at Catacol Bay on Arran at the begging of August when out of nowhere strolled this beauty," says Colin.
"I'm not a photographer and don't often take photos but I took a photo just to show people at home and the result was mind blowing.
"I was just in the right place at the right time under perfect lighting conditions."
