The View singer Kyle Falconer has been teaching orphans the ukulele at a rehabilitation centre in Thailand.

The singer has been staying at Lanna Rehab near Chiang Mai in the north of the country since June.

He checked into rehab after being removed from a flight that was diverted to France and for which he publicly apologised on June 21.

The centre has now shared a video of his community work online.

It said: "Lanna Rehab is so proud of the community work Kyle has done with the local orphanage kids with Ukulele lessons.

"The kids even do lead solos each now. I'm not sure who got more out of this project, Kyle or the kids.

"In fact, I was so impressed that we have set up a Lanna Foundation, that we will continue to contribute funds so we can provide music teachers, instruments and ongoing lessons for the kids at Im Jai School.

"The kids are going to miss you Kyle ... but I think you are going to miss them just as much."

Kyle Falconer shared the video on his Twitter account, adding: "Community participation is an important part of treatment, great work with the kids at Im Jai by @KyleFrancisFalc"
