Drivers cut free from vehicles after bus and van collide
The bus ended up in a garden after the crash on the West Way in Arbroath on Monday.
Two drivers had to be cut free from their vehicles after a bus and van collided in Angus.
The bus left the road and ended up in a garden after the crash on the West Way in Arbroath shortly after 9am on Monday.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the trapped man and woman from their vehicles.
The female bus driver suffered a head injury in the crash but is not thought to be in a serious condition.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "It was a two-vehicle crash between a bus and a van. Police attended West Way with the ambulance and fire service.
"The road was closed at Arbirlot Road."
Homeowner Alison McLeod said she was shocked to return from walking her dogs to find the bus had crashed through her fence and hedge.
It came to a halt in the garden without hitting her house.
There are large tailbacks in the area, including the A92 into Arbroath, while crews work to recover the wreckage.
