A 20-year-old man suffered a facial injury after a disturbance outside a nightclub.

The victim was assaulted outside Coast nightclub on Gravesend in Arbroath, Angus, at about 1.30am on Sunday.

It is understood two people were involved in the disturbance, with the victim being struck in the face by a man described as being of stocky build and wearing a tracksuit top.

He was then taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who was at the nightclub between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
