A woman has been arrested in connection with the killing of a British holidaymaker who was stabbed to death in Ayia Napa.

George Low, 22, from Kent, died after him and his friend were attacked in the popular resort in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mr Low was stabbed in the neck and his friend, Ben Barker, who survived, suffered four stab wounds to his back in the attack.

It is alleged they were assaulted by two knife-wielding men after getting into a shoving match with one of them on a busy street.

Detectives said the woman arrested was Greek Cypriot and they have issued arrest warrants for two Turkish Cypriot men.
