Customers were evacuated from a shopping centre after a fire broke out within a shop wall.

The alarm was raised at the Thistle in Stirling after a smell of burning was reported.

Customers were evacuated from the building and firefighters arrived on the scene at 2.40pm on Tuesday.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said crews are using cutting gear to break away the wall to locate a fire within.

Crews used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and left at 4.40pm.
