The bombings and arson attacks which left four people dead and dozens wounded were "clearly connected", Thai police believe.

Authorities in Thailand added that they have issued an arrest warrant for a man in connection to one of the arson attacks.

The attacks on Thursday and Friday targeted popular tourist destinations.

The arrest warrant was issued in relation to an arson attack on a supermarket in Nakhon Si Thammarat on Thursday, Mr Pongsapat said.
