Nathaly Eiche thought she was flying to Greece on holiday - but instead ended up getting married on the way there.

Her long-term boyfriend Jurgen Bogner popped the question while they were flying at 35,000ft.

And he must have been confident Nathaly would say yes - as he arranged for the pair to tie the knot there and then.

Not only did he have a wedding dress, rings and an official to carry out the ceremony, he also had Nathaly's dad on hand to walk her down the plane aisle.

Nathaly later shared pictures of their wedding on Instagram writing: "The perfect moment every girl waits for their whole life.

"He popped the question! And we got married on the same flight! Amazing day! Can't find the right words for all the feelings right now ❤️ just crazy."

Austrian Airlines, who the couple were flying with, were in on the act and even provided a special wedding cake.

So what Nathaly thought was just a holiday turned into a honeymoon.

She added her and Jurgen had been "overwhelmed" by the well-wishes after sharing their story on social media.

"It was the absolute best day of our lives. This is all too good to be true! Hold on to those moments of love and never let go ❤️."
