The search for a fisherman missing on an Orkney loch is back under way.

The remains of another man were found on the shore of the Loch of Boardhouse on Wednesday evening.

It followed a land and air search involving the coastguard, fire service and police.

The hunt was called off on Wednesday night and resumed on Thursday morning.

The boat used by the fishermen was found a short distance from the man's remains and their Jeep was discovered near the Birsay loch.

The men, who are from the Dounby in Orkney, have not been publicly identified.

Police inspector Alicen Winston said: "In the unlikely possibility that the missing man was able to leave the water it is asked that landowners and residents of properties in the area between Loch of Boardhouse and Dounby are vigilant and check any outbuildings."
