A woman has died after her car careered into a wall in Angus.

The 21-year-old driver was the only person in the vehicle when it left the road near North Craigo at 9.40pm on Sunday.

Police officers have appealed to anyone with any information about the crash on the A937 to contact them.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "A 21-year-old woman has died following a road traffic collision in Angus.

"The one-vehicle collision happened around 9.40 p.m. on Sunday on the A937 near North Craigo when a grey Citroen C3 left the road and collided with a wall. No other people were travelling in the vehicle.

"We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the vehicle being driven prior to the collision to contact us on 101."
