Police have discovered a body in a park while searching for a missing teenager.

Kyle Johnstone, 17, was reported missing after he was last being seen in Grangemouth at around 10am on Friday.

Officers found a body during a search of Callendar Park in Falkirk on Saturday.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers in Falkirk discovered a body within Callendar Park in Falkirk on Saturday.

"Formal identification of the deceased has yet to take place. However, the family of missing teenager Kyle Johnstone have been informed of this development.

"Inquiries into the full set of circumstances are ongoing but the death is not being treated as suspicious at this time."
