Man dies after group caught in riptide in Norfolk
The 54-year-old man died after a group of swimmers got caught up in a riptide at a beach in Norfolk.
A 54-year-old man has died after getting into difficulty in the water at Sea Palling beach in Norfolk.
The Coastguard received multiple 999 calls from members of the public after a group of four males were seen in distress around 800 metres from the main beach which has a lifeguard.
The group were rescued from the water at 11.47am this morning.
A 26-year-old man, who was pulled unconscious from the water, has been airlifted to hospital.
A 16-year-old and a man in his 20s were also helped by emergency crews.
