An elderly man has been reported missing after getting on a bus that was leaving a hospital near Falkirk.

Neil Molloy boarded a number 6 bus at Forth Valley Royal Hospital around 1.45pm on Thursday with the vehicle heading for Falkirk Bus Station.

It is believed the 69-year-old got off the bus at Main Street, in the Bainsford area, around 2.10pm and has not been seen or heard from since.

Inspector Adrian Wright said: "We are keen to find Neil as quickly as possible.

"I'd urge anyone who has seen him or has information that can help us with our inquiries, to please come forward immediately."

Mr Molloy is described as 5ft 10in tall, average build with a local accent and wears silver framed glasses.

He was last seen wearing grey trousers, light grey jacket and a white shirt.
