Man reveals shame over T-shirt mocking Hillsborough victims

A man pictured wearing a t-shirt mocking the 96 people killed in the Hillsborough tragedy has told a court of his shame as he was fined £600 over the incident.
Paul Grange, 50, was arrested over a shirt saying the deaths of Liverpool fans were "God's way of helping" a pest control firm.
He told Worcester magistrates court that he had not realised the impact of what was supposed to be a private joke with friends and had deservedly suffered as a result of his actions.
He added that after hearing a statement from the sister of one of the victims the impact of his actions had finally "hit home".
Mr Grange, of Worcester, pleaded guilty to a charge of displaying abusive writing likely to cause distress at today's court hearing.
He was ordered to a pay a £600 fine, plus a £60 victim surcharge and £135 in costs.
Magistrates ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the T-shirt and a second shirt bearing similar offensive comments.
