Death of man found injured in street treated as suspicious
Nigel Poustie was found injured in Dundee's Charleston Drive on Monday and died the next day.
The death of a man found injured in a Dundee street is now being treated as suspicious.
Nigel Poustie, 49, was found in Charleston Drive on Monday and died at Ninewells Hospital the next day.
Detective inspector Brian Geddes, who is leading the investigation, said police have been carrying out extensive enquiries to determine how Mr Poustie was fatally injured.
He said: "Following information that we have obtained during this time, the circumstances surrounding his death are being treated as suspicious and as such, we continue to appeal for information to assist us with our enquiries.
"Mr Poustie was found in Charleston Drive at about 6.30pm on Monday, July 4.
"At that time he was wearing a dark jacket and a black 'tammy' hat with a red band around it. We want to speak to anyone who may have seen or spoken to him that day."
He added: "Also, if you were in the area of Charleston Drive or Spey Drive and noticed any suspicious activity, we would also like to speak to you, no matter how insignificant you think this information might be.
"During our enquiries we have spoken with members of Mr Poustie's family, his friends and neighbours, but we want make sure that we have contacted as many people as possible who may have known him - you may have vital information that could assist our enquiry team."
