A vulnerable 78-year-old woman with dementia has gone missing in Carnoustie.

Linda Stewart was last seen on Barry Road at 10.30am on Monday, July 4.

She suffers from dementia and is easily confused, with concerns growing for her welfare.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Mrs Stewart to come forward.

Mrs Stewart is described as 4ft 10in, of slim/frail build, with noticeable scratches on her face from a recent fall.

When last seen she was wearing a pink cardigan, pink raincoat, blue shirt with blue trousers and carrying a black and white Zebra print bag.

Anyone who knows where she is or who has information that could assist police in tracing her is being asked to call 101 or speak to any police officer.
