A gun shop in Chicago is raffling off an AR-15 rifle to raise funds for the victims of the Orlando nightclub massacre, according to reports.

The weapon is similar to the device used to kill 49 and wound dozens more at the Pulse gay club on 12 June, NBC Chicago said.

Bert Irslinger Jr., who owns Second Amendment Sports with his father, says their intent is not to offend or make a political statement, but to help the victims.

The shop plans to announce the winner of the raffle next month.
