A far-right Hindu group have wished a happy 70th birthday to the "saviour of humanity", or Donald Trump as he is more commonly known.

Around 20 members of the far-right Hindu Sena, or Hindu Army, marked the presumptive Republican presidential candidate's milestone birthday with a cake, posters stating "long live Donald Trump", and paper hats in New Delhi.

The group, which is known more for its publicity stunts than for having any meaningful support, observed a minute's silence for the victims of the Orlando nightclub massacre, before cutting a birthday cake to shouts of "long live Donald Trump".

The activists gathered at a stall on a road in the Indian capital, saying that they counted on Trump to contain India's neighbour Pakistan.

India accuses Muslim Pakistan of responsibility for acommando-style militant raid on the financial capital Mumbai in2008 that killed 166 people, and an attack on an air base thisyear.

The nuclear-armed neighbours have fought three wars sinceindependence and partition in 1947.
