The victim of a fatal six-car crash in Perthshire has been named as 26-year-old Paul McHoul from Blairgowrie.

Mr McHoul died from injuries he suffered in the collision on A93 just south of Meikleour on Monday, June 13.

Police Scotland have now confirmed Mr McHoul's identity.

A spokesman said: "Mr McHoul's family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that he will be greatly missed.

"They do not wish to make any further comments and have expressly requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

"Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are ongoing and Tayside Division would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Division on 101.

"As with all sudden deaths, a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal."
