Oldest pilot whale in captivity dies at SeaWorld in US
Bubbles, who was in her early to mid-50s, had been at the park for nearly 30 years.
The oldest pilot whale believed to still be living in captivity has died at a SeaWorld centre in San Diego.
Bubbles was thought to be in her early to mid-50s and had been at the park for nearly 30 years. Bubbles was one of several pilot whales that participated in various shows at Dolphin Stadium since the late 1980s.
SeaWorld confirmed Bubbles' death and paid tribute to her and how she "inspired and amazed more than 100 million guests for nearly 50 years".
According to SeaWorld a necropsy will be performed to attempt to determine the cause of death.
