Hillary Clinton won the Puerto Rico Democratic primary, taking her a step closer to prevailing over her rival, Bernie Sanders, in the fight for her party's presidential nomination.
Ms Clinton had been the projected winner over Mr Sanders in the US island territory, according to NBC News.
The win gives Ms Clinton a boost ahead of Tuesday, when six states - including New Jersey and California - will hold nominating contests.
The former secretary of state is hoping to cross the threshold of 2,382 delegates needed to secure the Democratic nomination for the presidential election as early as 8pm EDT on Tuesday (1am Wednesday, UK time).
