Lidl recalls 'deadly' batch of gluten chapattis
The retailer said the Vitasia 8 Chapattis contain gluten which is not mentioned on the label.
Lidl have recalled a batch of chapattis which could be deadly to some people if eaten.
The Vitasia 8 Chapattis contain wheat (gluten) which is not mentioned in English on the label.
This makes them a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy to wheat or intolerance to gluten.
A statement from the retailer said: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to wheat gluten, do not eat it.
"Instead, return it to a Lidl UK store for a full refund."
The recall is the latest by the budget supermarket - all for allergy reasons.
Last month the store asked customers to return three products.
Bavarian Style Smoked Cheese with Ham, Bread Baking Mix and Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts all contained wheat, rye, barley (gluten), milk or hazelnuts which was not mentioned in English on the label.
