Two people have been injured in a two-vehicle crash on the Clackmannanshire Bridge, closing the A876 in both directions.

A van and a pick-up truck collided on Thursday afternoon and the two casualties have been taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area due to tailbacks after the temporary closure of the bridge.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "We were called at 3.45pm to a report of a road traffic collision on the Clackmannanshire Bridge.

"Two vehicles were involved - a van and a pick-up truck. The Scottish Ambulance Service was also in attendance.

"A road closure was put on at the Kilbagie Roundabout and there are currently some tailbacks."
