Driver cut free from car and A9 closed after collision
The woman has been taken to hospital by air ambulance after the crash in Perthshire.
The A9 has been closed in Perthshire and a woman airlifted to hospital after being cut free from her car.
The woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee at about 3.30pm after the two-vehicle crash near Stanley. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A man and a woman who were in the other car have been taken to Perth Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said officers were called to the accident at 2.20pm.
She said: "A man and a woman who were occupants of a Citroen C3 car have been taken to Perth Royal Infirmary for treatment of minor injuries.
"The woman driver of a Honda Jazz car is being taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, for treatment for injuries, not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
"Both lanes are currently closed and diversions are in place. Enquiries into the full circumstances of the incident are ongoing."
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a road traffic collision at 2.26pm where a female was trapped in one of the cars.
"The female was extricated from the car at 3.28pm and was taken by air ambulance to Ninewells Hospital."
