A driver has posted an unusually honest advert for a car she claims has "ruined her life".

The woman, whose eBay user name is Sphlchwns, listed the advert for her red Fiat 500 last week, but it was pulled by eBay just hours before the auction ended with a highest bid of £2,250 because her original ad was littered with expletives.

Sphlchwns has re-listed the car after editing out the original swearing, adding that now others have an "opportunity to love the car I never could".

The Hertfordshire seller claims that the red 2005 car is a "real bargain" but that it "has genuinely ruined my life."

"I bought it for £6,000 and then found out I'd been sold a CAT C car. I won't lie to you, that butterflies me off," she wrote, editing out the original swear word.

Her run of bad luck with the car began in the first week when she crashed it.

She also explains that there's a small crack in the bonnet from the time she returned from a rave in Brixton to find a can of Stella rammed in it.

Sphlchwns also admits that the sunroof doesn't work and the buttons on the steering wheel sometimes perform a different action to the one they are meant to.

She wrote:

The car does benefit from two new tyres.

The eBay user does admit that in between the problems, she's had "some pretty good times with this car".

"It's never let me down, except for the upcoming MOT, and we've shared some good memories," she wrote.

"My puppy puking everywhere in it, being pulled over for drink driving when I was actually just driving and dancing to Kate Bush erratically and getting a 6ft children's slide into it. Impressive, I know."

She ends: "But seriously, I think this is for a mechanic that can do it up and make a big profit margin. It just needs a little love and I can't give it to it because I butterfly hate the thing."
