A man has been charged with trespassing in the grounds of Buckingham Palace after allegedly climbing a wall.

Dennis Hennessy, 41, of Wembley, north-west London, was charged on Thursday with trespass on a protected site and criminal damage.

Hennessy was arrested on Wednesday evening.

He will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Friday.
