Fugitive boyfriend of Scots woman missing in Spain arrested
Simon Corner detained in Denmark after Lisa Brown's disappearance in November.
The boyfriend of a Scottish woman reported missing in Spain has been arrested.
Lisa Brown, from Alexandria in West Dunbartonshire, has not been seen since November 4 last year.
Family sources confirmed her boyfriend Simon Corner has been detained in Denmark on a European Arrest Warrant. He is expected to face extradition proceedings to Spain.
Spanish police launched a search for Ms Brown, who has lived and worked in both Spain and Gibraltar since she was 18.
Members of her family have also flown out to Spain and issued online appeals for her safe return.
Posting on the "Find Lisa" Facebook page, Ms Brown's sister Helen Jordan said: "While we are delighted that he's been caught, we still have a long road to go.
"This page that was set up to 'Find Lisa' turned into 'hunt Simon' so our journey is not over, and we still appeal to anyone that knows where she might be to contact the guardia.
"Once again we wish to thank each and everyone that has supported us in so many ways, we couldn't of got this far without you all, we will be eternally grateful."
