Pupils sent to other schools during repair of building
Balfron High School in Stirlingshire has been closed to pupils not taking exams.
Pupils at a school hit by structural problems are to be split up and sent to other schools while repair work continues.
Senior pupils have been taking their exams in unaffected parts of Balfron High School in Stirlingshire since issues were found with the building at the weekend.
The school has been closed to other pupils this week but alternative arrangements will see S1 to S3 pupils taken in by other schools while repair work continues next week.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Stirling Council said pupils will be split up into house groups and taken by bus to nearby schools.
It said: "Arrangements are also now in place for pupils in S1-3 to be relocated to alternative locations from Friday May 13.
"Pupils will be relocated by house rather than year group as we believe this is the best way to ensure they still have full access to pastoral support as well as to the curriculum.
"Pupils from Endrick House will go to St Modan's High School, those from Campsie House will go to Stirling High and pupils from Lomond House will go to Wallace High School.
"All the headteachers are working together to ensure a smooth transition."
Pupils are being asked to arrive at Balfron High School as usual from where they will be taken by bus to their alternative schools along with teachers at 9am.
The council spokesperson added: "This will be a temporary arrangement and plans are currently being developed for alternative on-site provision at Balfron as soon as possible."
The repair work was conducted outside of exam times after issues were found in the stairwell wall and atrium at the weekend.
The SQA exams for S4 to S6 pupils will continue to go ahead in unaffected parts of the school as planned.
The school was built under a private finance initiative 15 years ago.
Inspections were being carried out following Scottish Government advice after 17 schools built by Miller Construction were closed in Edinburgh due to structural faults.
